“New Beginnings Are Often Disguised As Painful Endings”
– Lao Tzu
This quote says so much to me.
In life we often forget that everything has a Yin to its Yang..and Vice Versa..
Without knowing Pain..How can one recognize pleasure?
Is this even possible…
I believe strongly in the Law of Attraction that states: “That which is like us is i.e. our thoughts wants and desires is what is drawn unto us” the Ultimate Universal Law.
In some cases we create situations that may seem incredibly painful at the time, but without these experiences, we would not be truly experiencing the fullness of life.
Now this does not mean to spend your days and nights drowning in misery, because according to this law..you DO indeed draw to you what you focus on..
This is where it gets tricky..
In order to overcome pain..you must first acknowledge its presence..and accept it for what it is.
Once this is done..you are no longer held hostage or victim to trying to ignore or push away something that may feel unpleasant…
The act of focusing on trying NOT to feel pain…is what actually KEEPS US IN PAIN..
Well, what are you focusing on???
Are you focusing on feeling better and dealing with life as it comes..or are you focusing on keeping that pain..
From coming to the surface?
Either way..the Focus is Pain..therefore what do we attract more of?
I told you it was tricky…
We must allow pain to come, to wash over us fully and completely, acknowledge its’ presence, accept the lesson that it came to teach.. and then allow it to fade away, kind of like the waves of the Ocean.
Ebb..and Flow..but even the Ocean..is never still.
Every day is not going to be perfect, but on those days when it feels that way, we are able to experience this joy..this perfection so fully..because it is the opposite..or contrast to pain.
Even from birth..which could possibly be the most painful experience of all for both mother and child, we are learning about the world…through pain.
From day one..it is made clear..that this thing is NOT always going to be easy…
But the Reward..Oh so worth it.
“If it hurts..it Instructs.”
Who do you know that ever learned a lasting lesson in life without first having some negative experience propel them forward into the awareness..that what they are getting is not what they want out of life?
Understanding and knowing what you don’t want..what hurts can only lead you eventually to the pathway of knowing what you DO want..and what feels better to you.
Now I am no masochist or advocate of feeling sad, down, and depressed, what I have is an understanding of Balance..and that you can’t have the Good, without the Bad..the Bitter without the Sweet…because without the experience of one..
We could not recognize or appreciate..it’s opposite..
and without understanding both sides then life is not being fully lived.
There is a definite difference between living..and simply existing.
When we allow ourselves..to be fully Ourselves.. Good, Bad, and Everything in between…
Is when we begin to truly live.
We become whole by acknowledging all of the parts of us inside and out that make us who we are.
I am learning to live life fearlessly..openly, fully..which sometimes means allowing myself to fully experience both my life’s pleasures and pains..
Each has a lesson to teach.
You win some..you lose some..but losing sometimes..doesn’t mean to bury our heads in the sand…and give up..or to get out of the game.
It simply means that there is more learning to do..and that if you’re in pain..it’s opposite is somewhere near, probably closer than you think…once you allow yourself to experience the fullness of it all.
“Feel, Deal, Heal” -Evan Owen
Stop Resisting..and Allow..what IS.
Then pick your self up..and move on to the next adventure that awaits..
You may be surprised to find that your happiness was much closer than you thought.
Live Your Life.
